PNG2Spr

The compatibility list says version 1.34 of PNG2Spr is ARMv7 compatible. Is it really? 1.34 is the Iyonix update of 2002 vintage, and I can’t find any later version. It seems very unlikely that it’s safe, especially given that it’s linked against non-native libraries (so a high probability of, say, short ints). |

As suggested !Png2Spr 1.34 is indeed not fully ARMv7 safe. Specifically it fails with 24bit PNGs. |

Good, that clears that up then. Thank you. Since I have your attention, and you haven’t answered my email: Can I have your permission to change Thump’s ‘Seems OK’ status to an ARMv7 OK logo? I know it seems like a silly question, but my policy is ‘better safe than sorry’ when advertising things which have the explicit endorsement of developers. |
