My Beagleboard is kaput

Hah! When I sent my BB, I posted it at 4pm from our local post office. It arrived at the airport the following morning and in the US the same day where it was handed over to the US postal service. It then took four days to get to CircuitCo in Texas. It’s now on its return journey with USPS. So far it’s taken 3 days to get through the sorting office in Texas & is still in Texas. Perhaps the Royal Mail isn’t so bad. |

Don’t know with regard to the outward journey. As for the return, after 4 days the BB has made it to a Chicago sorting office so don’t suppose it’s encountered customs. I wonder if it would be possible to design a good game based on parcel tracking. |

I think those who ordered stuff from Amazon were used to the “track the parcel” game. Unfortunately, Amazon France no longer reports parcel status until the parcel gets to, IIRC, “MER LOIR ET CHER” which I suppose is their central French dispatch. Prior to the change, I used to see stuff tracking out from a centre in Scotland. One I think somewhere on the Welsh border, a place called “Bad Hamburg”, and somewhere Google Maps didn’t recognise (but it sounded sort of Belgian/Dutch). |

I don’t think you need a game, the parcel companies have it all sewn up. Parcel sent to us from Taiwan the other week:
If you can work that out you’re better than I… |

Not sure if you’d call it a good game but certainly addictive ;-) |

Reading it backwards starting at Looks like they initially put it in the wrong pile and it went on the wrong plane |

Heh, heh. Love the hardware but looks like Theo’s gaining points.
Looking at ‘Herb Heads’ & ‘Grass City’ (Sometimes think Google search should be called Magic Roundabout II) suggests that ISC Chicago IL is customs so since 2 March. Passed through in 40 mins then faltered. |

My Beagleboard is back. No charge so only cost me the postage to the States. A quick test shows it to be working as well as well as it ever did, which isn’t as well as its replacement. That is, the new one (revision C1) is happy to power anything I have on USB whereas the original (Rev C) needs a powered hub for the HDD using the same supply. |
