power out

recently the rpi would restart of itself. some remaining issues maybe: a long extension cord in room. if surge protector would help, or help with drops. neighbor computer. or if is the software image. also had meandering mouse pointer again. and mouse go off. maybe number keypad bad. i am thinking an external powered usb hub is going to help and help with being able to read disks? and to decide if need powered lan on hub for ipad. maybe need a new rpi card. just happened before i getting ready to get roo(?) onto a bigger card and during outdoor power issues. my power comes from one of those small usb wall cubes. which made me wonder if hackable. i posted about capacitor here.

i saw that long post people said there was restarting with the os image file. trying surge protector and bumping it clued me in to the (power) usb cable being bad maybe. otherwise there has been no random restarting.
so now have raspbian or noobs on a card which is exciting too!! and will return somewhere relative to the interesting study of boot and fat(32) table, so can get another riscosopen on.
