I changed from Risc Os 5.24 to Risc Os 5.27 (Risc Os Direct download version) Is that a known issue, or what is the solution for this? I also found, if im using Spark FS on RO 5.27, after unpacking on RO 5.24 or another RO5.27, file type get lost. All files are of type data afterwards. |

I believe that it’s this known issue. |

That sounds similar to a known problem with SparkFS 1.44 (although in that case files ended up with load/exec addresses of 0000/0000 instead of a filetype). The fix there was to upgrade SparkFS – there’s a link on David Pilling’s site (look for “SparkFS upgrade to 1.45”) |

That’s the only solution I’ve found. I keep a spare card with 5.24 on it just for this. Can’t get CloneDisc to work even with 5.24 – it just gives up part way through! And had same problem with Fat32Format the other day insisting a tiny stick had too large a cluster size. |

You can use an older SCSIFS by softload (doubleclick) or Colins scsisoftusbd3 (Floppy) driver. Both fixing the problem (and with CloneDisc) on Ti and Pi. |
