!SharedLibs

Not being a C/C++ programmer, I am ignorant of the usage of the resource !SharedLibs. But I have stumbled on the occasional application problem that may be due to having an inconsistent set up within !SharedLibs. So I did a little analysis of some of the instances that I could find here (ARMX6 5.25, Iyonix 5.24(*), RISC OS Direct). For good measure I have added the ‘self-contained’ versions of !SharedLibs that come with the latest test versions of the Iris and Origyn browsers. My list is here.

With such a variety of sizes and dates, it is difficult to know what one’s system ought to include, even if one knew which apps depended on !SharedLibs.
Can anyone offer guidance on this?

• In the file, ‘Latest file date’ for Iyonix does not include the VFP directory

It will be fixed in the next update (which should be in the near future).
