Nyrician if you put the following code at the top of you BASIC file
That will tell you what line number and what the error is |

Just back to the themes thing. I had a quick fiddle and what it’s complaining about is when themes don’t include certain resources like icons. That BASIC magic incantation above, save it somewhere prominent for later use. |

Hey so I have put a version of the UI on USB and also a 2D BBC BASIC Survival Demo game but when I try to run them in RPCEMU it doesn’t work? The basic files open in a weird format and wont run, and the sprite files are showing up as text files? I just did a straight copy from my RPI to the windows RPCEMU version so not sure whats happening? Don’t want to upload them before I can take some screenshots to show people what it looks like really… Thanks. EDIT: Also thanks for your comments, the error line one was most helpful ;) |

How exactly did you do that? If you used just RISC OS to copy the files, all should be well, and the files will show as having their correct filetypes (eg BASIC, Sprite, Obey etc). If not, the chances are that the filetypes has been lost. For a small number of files you can set them again (using Filer → Menu), or copy them again in a zip file, which will preserve the filetypes. |

Ahh okay maybe zip is the way to go then thanks! :) |

Different operationg systems have very different ways to denote file types. Zips made on a RISC OS machine, zipping up RISC OS files, store the filetype information in a way that RISC OS unzippers can understand and use, and other unzippers ignore. So, definitely import the zip as is, and unzip it on the RISC OS machine. |
