Pin Directory to Icon Bar

I’m a user of the RPCEmu emulator but this isn’t an emulator question. I have a pseudo application which contains a trash directory. I drag unwanted stuff in here because 1) It gives me a chance to change my mind and 2) Deletion is a lot quicker in the host OS. Is it possible to have this directory (Or it’s icon) appear on the icon bar in such a way that I could drag my unwanted files directly on to it? I remember a long time ago there was an app called !TinyDirs that might have done something like that, but I don’t remember ever using it. Cheers. |

Transient might do what you need, if you configure RISC OS-side deletion off. AddTinyDir won’t let you drag stuff to the folder: for that, you need a dedicated application running which accepts the drags (like Transient, TempBin and so on). |

In case AddTinyDir is useful this is how AddTinydir works. At the command line
adds a directory/filename to the iconbar where clicking on it will open it. You only need to do this for the first directory/filename. To add more you can drag from the filer over an existing Addtinydir icon. Once the icon is there if you want it to remain permanently click on save on the pinboard menu. To remove the icon click on menu on the icon on the iconbar and remove icon – click on save on the pinboard menu to permanently remove it if it has previously been saved. I find it very useful for quick access to my current project folders and unlike the pinboard the iconbar pops up from behind the gazillion windows I have open. |

Thanks for the replies. I’ll try them all and see which works best for me. Becky. |
