Iris, etc, and page problems

I’ve been trying to use Iris to look at this page

The first time I tried I managed (sloooooowly) to read about four pages. But ever since, even on the start page Iris evaporates after a short time, and I get nowhere. So I’m wondering why/what can be done/is there a serious flaw with the page/does otter, etc, work better/etc?

The same reason that I want to look is also why I’m slightly embarassed to ask about it. :-)

I gave the creator of the pages permission to use text from my own ‘biog’ pages. In addition, the brief view I got of the photos and maps I found very interesting as they show what the area where I lived mumble decades ago now looks like.

I guess I will eventually give up and use FF/linux, but don’t like being defeated using RO, and wonder if there is actually a problem with the pages I can warn the author about. The code I did see briefly was stuffed with cruft.
