While Diderot very usefully provides a ‘solution files’ tree view (to a degree) for searching it’s still best to load all source files into StrongED. The windows can all be hidden (cs-H), the List-of-Windows (c-L) is then used to select the one(s) to work on. Having all files loaded allows them to be searched, go to definitions, etc. This is how StrongED was designed to work. Different from modern tools but that’s to be expected given that StrongED’s design is almost 30 years old. Searching files in the same directory (and below) as the current file is also possible (c-F11). However that uses a Lua script that doesn’t work with my current version of RiscLua so I’ll need to look into that. Alternatively one could tie grep (or similar) to a toolbar icon and create a ‘search in files’ facility that way. Might need a bit of glue code but nothing major I would think. |

Diderot without StongEd / Zap would be useless. It is not a filer just a representation of the project in treeview form as in a lot of RAD. |
