Crashes on Filer (and some other) window open

I’m new to RP but not RISC OS. Using 5.24 appears to boot well. Keyboard good. Mouse moves and clicks. Can change !Configure and look at !Tasks. BUT crashes as soon as Apps or any Filer window opens, even an empty RamDisc. Ctrl+Break works. :( Any ideas. Have tried different monitors, mice and keyboard but don’t think its an I/O thing. Known problem?

I’d start again with a 5.28 setup. There have been a lot of beta modifications since the 5.24 stable.

Go with the pre-built Risc OS Direct image with all the extra software to play with…
