Release versus Development

So brilliant to see a new release of our favourite OS. I have been using RISC OS 5.* on my laptop via rpcemu for a few years now. I normally use the development version. My backup routine (Every day and always before significant changes) ensures that something breaking is not a problem. I can revert easily. Not had many problems yet. The question I have is this – Are there any features that are present in the release but not in the development version? I always thought of the development as being essentially the release plus changes. I was just wondering if anything was left out, hidden or otherwise turned off to help in the development process. Cheers. |

In the development process, something is actually turned on – a list of modules as each is started. |

More a case of an opportunity to do something constructive for the community. 1 Maybe some of you out there are not so ordinary so the testing is less ordinary. |

Thanks for the replies. I’m quite happy to accept the risk. I always have a full backup before I add or change everything. Cheers, |
