How do you backup a app? (Android) |

I would have a sub directory in Apps that contains the zip downloads for earlier versions. For example Resources:$.Apps.ImpStyle.Ver413 |

Like NCH, whose video editing software periodically does this, then needs another £25 to enable the new version. |

That kind of thing is where you block the site on your router (if that feature exists) or on the PC / Mac with a host file entry that causes the URL to resolve as something like 127.0.0.1 (localhost loopback) |

Back to topic, sorry ;-) |

Yes, this is expected. The drive needs explicit support for all disc/sector/track formats, and there are no known USB floppies that have such support for ADFS, they are all DOS 1.44MiB/720KiB only.
Direct access to the floppy is needed for this to work (i.e. classic 34pin Shugart interface and a programmable floppy disc controller). Keep your old WinXP systems. Or your Risc PC of course :-) Same problem for RISC OS emulators on PCs of course. Direct floppy access only works with “real” floppy drives, not with USB floppies. |

Note a interesting link about floppy disc drive reading – on IconBar. [Edit] If anyone has any ideas about improving the sensitivity of the Floppy Disc Drives – it might be useful :-) |

As a note has anyone had a go at driving a ‘Greaseweazle’ board for plugging into a Floppy drive with RO? The Chris Evans team pointed to above (not CJE) are looking for poorly floppy Discs to play with. :-) |

There is an interesting manual about the in’s and out’s of a Floppy drive on the linked site. Using ‘Calibre’ file converter on Win10 to say Docx – it seems to be a sprite for every page :-( Does EasyWriter handle Docx files yet? Which of the RO editors is best setup to write manuals? Would be nice to be able to read aloud the text. |

Does EasyWriter handle Docx files yet? Straight off MW’s web site: New features in version 9.1Improved MS Word (.docx) import Headers and footers Cropped images Subscript/superscript Hyperlinks (to bookmarks and to external URLs) Paragraph borders and background colours Automatic fields in headers and footers (page number, number of pages, file/leaf name, date/time) Correct vertical positioning of inline images Correct application of Normal style The Reflect margins option in page setup The Do not spell check text property Improved table import: Column widths are imported Multiple text paragraphs in a table cell are imported (previous versions ignored all but the first paragraph) Table cell borders and background colours Alignment of floating tables |
