I have a slight problem with my Iyonix I have installed a podule riser and I have installed a Castel SCSI card. When I do *podules it shows the castle SCSI card however it seems that the ROM modules in the Caste SCSI card are not ‘32 bit compatible’ does anyone know if there were 32 bit neutral scsi modules written for it ?.

Does anyone have a Castle Iyonix TRM / Schematics ?.

You can unplug the ROM and softload the drivers. I was doing this on the RiscPC for quite a while.
There has been Serial cards work on the Iyonix riser, so it is not completely broken.
There is a sample 32bit SCSI driver source from Castle, but I never got mine to work.
Compilers have moved on, more experts are around than at the release of Iyonix, but I would have thought John Ballance would have been the person to do it, having previously sold Acorn SCSI cards. USB and dual ide ports seems to have left the desire for SCSI behind.

If you can send it to : . Thanks in advance. The strange thing is that a ROM for the Acorn SCSI is available as a proof of concept. An announcement was made that it would be available for Castle cards soon ( which would make sense ) but it never materialized.

I have sent an email with an attachment, if you have received it you can remove your email address from the forum if you wish.
The source is for the Acorn cards, not the Castle one.
It would need someone good at modules, podules and SCSI to have a look at it, or perhaps the now available debugger can be built into the source?
Further reasons that nobody lost sleep over losing SCSI, was that USB scanners were working quicker, IDE harddrives were now probably lots quicker too, unlike on standard RiscPC IDE.

Edit: just as sad was the attempt to 32bit the aftermarket MIDI podule that I hopefully payed for but it never worked.

Hmm I did not receiver the mail yet. The caste card is so it seems straightforward. And perhaps I can read the modules in another machine with the Tools from Theo and modify them slightly

And yes SCSI was taken over by fast IDE and USB indeed.

I have put the prebuilt drivers and the source file on GoogleDrive here
It does mention Acorn vs aftermarket in places even though it is named for the AKA32
