I’ve got the full version of SparkFS from the NutPI. Two questions: - With the ReadOnly version I had a SparkFS icon in the lower left of my screen as sonns as I opened an archive. Since installing the NutPI version this is gone. How do I get this back? - How do I create a new ZIP archive? |

I am not sure what ‘installing the NutPi version’ of SparkFS does. You need to find the !SparkFS directory, and ensure it is started. The easiest way (initially) to do this is to double-click it (as with any other RISC-OS application). That should put an icon on the iconbar. Click menu over that, and use the ‘New archive’ to set the name & type, and then drag the icon from the Save As window to a directory. It will create the zip, and automatically open a directory window for it. Drag a file or directory into that window to add to the zip. When that works, you can then investigate how to boot or run !SparkFS when RISC-OS starts. |

Thanks Martin, you were right. I dragged the NutPI version directly from the open archive to the ‘$.Utilities’ folder trying to replace the currently open !SparkFS. Seems that wasn’t a pretty clever idea. I’ve tried it again with extracting to RAM-Disk, closing SparkFS and then updating. Now it works. I updated the Beginners FAQ accordingly. |
