ecmascript (or javascript) on first ™raspberry_pi™s

wow so i was way wrong! (java and javascript are different) (…relates to my anger about ™oracle™ case too) responding about paola s post regarding java byte codes.
interesting, so as i assimilating that, was going ask can help me review why is javascript so processor intensive? i guess for same reasons i thought ™java™ was. i remember a 300mhz and a 700mhz doing quite well with browsing the internet so i am surprised! what again is the problem if can elaborate some more? and what would be steps for getting going javascript with netsurf? would i still start with npapi or something different? i would challenge some linux ™arm™ being slow in my case, seems fast, except ™open_office™ not, particular pdf files maybe, or again maybe i wrong about my impression. i still grasping how can applications be so fast but popular or common web sites not be? (well that is on raspbian with ™chrome™ , on my new installation of rool it is fast but the problem is the websites with javascript not display everything) maybe i should try newer (sbc card) computer then right. how much would you guess integrating ™thumb™ (or thumb2ee) code would speed up web browsing? i plan to try bsd and ™plan 9™(?) anyone know about in regards to browsers? so i dont quite get why some of the ™android™ was not free. but now i understand the ™java™ advantage for browsing there was in way different then i thought. (are) there some other outstanding threads about ecmascript or javascript…i will look one about elephant lol.

It’s not. JIT engines can be slow to start and use a lot of memory, but they are fast.

Tests and perhaps a bit of luck. The engine is here, the DOM support is here, but most websites will not work, because they rely on very complex and demanding frameworks.
Anyway, JS in NetSurf will be slow: no JIT compilation.
