PackMan update failed

Anyone having problems with !Packman 0.9.5 Beta (13 Apr 2020)?

On trying to update lists (last updated 8 days ago) the progress bar gets to the end, and then I get an error of:-

Unable to connect to www.riscpkg.org port 80: Host unreachable (0×20e24) Operation now in progress

Just tried it and it updated list ok. tried upgrade – nothing to upgrade.(0.9.5 beta)

Some people have reported problems accessing www.riscpkg.org in recent days. Here’s one for example.

I think it’s far more likely to be something amiss with www.riscpkg.org than a problem with PackMan. Although perhaps PackMan could respond more gracefully to one of the package sources being inaccessible…

It’s a bit misleading that the error comes after the progress bar has got to 100%, logically it would fail at 0% if it can’t contact the website.

I agree, it should probably attempt to retain the last pulled list from the source, or skip if there’s none available.

I’ve disabled riscpkg.org unstable from sources, and it completes the update list now.
