Paul SPRANGERS has a program for processing text which is very versatile and can be programmed to perform this task as well as many others! The program is ConvText available from here and a simple script to do what you want follows:
I haven’t used this one for some years, so check it does what you want! The key line is line 5 which removes anything in angle brackets by replacing it by nothing! Hope this helps. |

I use this script to strip tags out of html or docx files. Open the file in StrongED and SHIFT-drag the script to the apply icon on the toolbar (the downward green arrow).

Load into NetSurf and Menu>Page>Export>Text, or just Ctrl-F3. ;-) |
