Sega Master System?

I am looking for an SMS emulator. There are numerous emulators described here: http://www.acorn-gaming.org.uk/index.php3?p=Emulation/Sega I’m wondering – did any of them make it to the 32 bit realm? Genesis Plus (https://riscosports.co.uk/emulation.html) doesn’t seem to want to work for me – it just gives a blank black screen (even after turning alignment exceptions off so it can run at all). I didn’t bother with retroarch (https://riscosports.co.uk/vfp/). At 107MB it is extreme overkill! |

Genesis Plus is a MegaDrive emulator – I thought you looked for a Master System one? Genesis/MegaDrive was not backwards compatible to SMS, was it? If it was: there is “PicoDrive” available: http://picodrive.acornarcade.com/ |

Ah, I see. The Mega Drive is a 16 bit 68K machine (Master System was a Z80, IIRC). A quick search implies that you needed an add on gizmo in order to play Master System games on the Mega. Thanks anyway. ;) |

You’re looking for Miracle but you’ll need to ask Matt Godbolt for the sources because I could imagine it won’t run on 32-bit systems. |

PicoDrive allows you to emulate the Master System, although apparently SMS support is a bit buggy. EDIT – Scratch that! No Z80 emulation in the stand alone RISC OS version. Don’t know if the one in Retroarch would be more complete |
