iyonix keyboards

My iyonix keyboard stopped working the other day so got my myself a new one from pc world. Problem is it doesnt work. I thought any usb keyboard should work. It is an advent model number k112. Anybody got any ideas.

Also just got an lg 32" led tv that i want to connect multiple devices to. Problem is all my modes are way off and some wont even display. Does any have or know where i can get a full set of monitor definitions from.

I don’t have an Iyonix, but is the ROM version relevant to kb types? What version are you using? Does the kb work with another machine?

Have you tried connecting the KB to the rear USB ports if you normally use the front, or the front if you normally use the rear.
One is onboard USB the other is an add-on board and the behaviour differs slightly.

Yes, I have tried in front and rear sockets with both keyboards, old and new. My OS is 5.18. I’m stumped!

Solved the problem. Nothing wrong with machine as tried a friends keyboard and worked fine. So took mine back as it is dodgy and got another, different model and make. Everything works fine now :-)

On an Iyonix one front USB port is paired with one at the back. So if you’re using the a front socket and want to swap to the other pair change to the other socket on the front.
Try and test the keyboards on another computer. I suspect your USB card has died (or at least one pair of ports)
We (CJE Micro’s) stock replacement USB cards if needed!
