Wandboard Quad SPL/u-boot?

Having recently acquired a Wandboard Quad, I am hoping to run RISC OS on it. Other OS installation involves adding SPL and u-boot files to the SD card before the start of the first partition. With an SD card set up using SDCreate, there is nothing on the HDMI-connected monitor and no output over serial. Advice / suggestions from Wandboard users here welcome! The notes for SDCreate make no reference to this for Wandboard, though other boards require u-boot and x-loader to be added to the ‘create image’ fields. Do I need to add u-boot and SPL somewhere? With an SD card set up with Debian ‘buster’, using the armhf installation instruction, I see the following over serial: U-Boot SPL 2021.01+dfsg-5 (May 23 2021 – 04:32:45 +0000)
Is this a dead board, or have I missed something obvious? The SD card is in the slot on the CPU board, which I understand is MMC1. Tried two SD cards (both Sandisk Ultra 8GB) which show no problems in the PC (Linux) or Pi (RISC OS). |

There’s some info in !SDCreate.scripts.Wandboard.txt. Only the risc os rom and optional CMOS are needed. |

Thanks, Chris, for confirming. Guess there is a more fundamental issue as it’s not booting with any of the Linux installation setups I can find either. |
