hatari raspberry pi illigal signal

Hi all (-.

I really searched a lot on my question but didnt find hints, so allow me to ask here.

Technical Data :
- Raspberry Pi Model B Rev. 2.0 512 MB Ram, 700Mhz
- riscos-2012-11-01-RC6 from the Raspberrypi.org site
- hatari 1.6.2 – 1 downloaded from !store in risc os

Problem :
in a lack of knowledge about how to transfer Data to the risc os from the outside world (i tried formatting the leftover space on my 2gb SD as FAT32, couldnt “see” it in risc though) i downloaded !hatari with the !store tool.!hatari seems not to be avaliable via !pakman.

After that i depacked !hatari.zip into the SD CARD —> APPS Folder and try to run it.
it seems that it really try to start because a hatari.log file is created saying :
recieved illegal signal segmentation fault followed by hardware adresses (?).

thats it. i really would LOVE to benefit from the breathtaking speed risc os provides on my little beautifull Pi, which like that could be magically turned to a “almost real” ATARI ST then. BTW, would there be a way to autostart !hatari after boot then ?

In fact the !store provides the !hatari 1.62- 2 which just crashes on my Pi.
The Version from norisc-nofun.co.uk is 1.62- 1 and RUNS LIKE HELL !!!

But im still stuck at the “bring files to riscos” point.
What is the easiest way to bring my files into risc os ?
do i have to use a second partition ? FAT32FS seems to be for sd cards bigger then 2gb ? mine is just 2gb.

i even tried to upload files, but netsurfer wont work on javascript…

As to transfering files, if you want to use the network, you can try nfs, the programs moonfish and/or sunfish on RISC OS. It needs some configuration work, but after that it works fine with linux or other unix computers. (I haven’t tried windows) As a last resort you can try ftp.

FAT32FS works for cards of all sizes. The “2GB” thing is simply that FAT32FS is not limited to 2GB, whereas what we used to use was limited.

Your risc os is really magic, breathtaking fast ! Hatari runs as fast as the real 68000 machine in my opinion.The reason why i was searching for easyier solutions is that i actually just can plug my Pi to a old Saba TV via RCA -out to work with risc os.
And even a resolution of 640×320 leaves the F12 (console?) unreadable.

Again thank you ! Guess it couldnt get easier than that.
Im gonna try to just fire the pi up with a USB mouse and a USB Thumb Drive as a work around (-: Could i use the whole leftover space of my SD Card within the risc os (image?) ?

Thank you ! I also found a SSH Programm in !Pakman, and you are right of course, FTP would do the job too.

Thank you for this explanation. Partitioning and using my SD CARD would be the most elegant way in my opinion. Or, but i have to test that first, if i could fill ~1GB of Data to the risc os img while running (via ThumbDrive), that would be fine too (-:

ps:
I !Hatari is autostarted via the very easy way DavidS explained to me, it starts in addition with the risc os mouse pointer though. Im not complaining about that ! just thought it maybe worth mentioning.
