File types for !WinEdit

Downloading via a Windows machine the file types have all been lost. I fairly sure I’ve correctly set Run and Boot as Obey type, RunImage as Absolute, the Sprite files as Sprite, Templates as Template. But Palette and Messages I’m not so sure what file type to set them as. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Welcome to the forum :-) Palette has type Template, and Messages has type Text. |

If you can, copy the zip to RISC OS and unzip it there, as that will preserve filetypes. |

And unless you have something that absolutely needs WinEdit to edit, I would strongly recommend using WinEd instead. |

Thank you, I did end up getting WinEd, I’m using the Martyn Fox book from the riscos.com site and that’s the one recommended there also, the similar names had confused me. |
