!PackMan dissapeared after update

Hi there, Today I updated my Risc OS 5.28 system (on a Pi 4) via !PackMan. I simply let !PackMan download and install all the updated packages, and in fact they were updated, but after reboot I found out that !PackMan has disappeared from my system :( Any idea on where can it be, or what happened? No errors were shown, nothing seemed to go wrong during or after the update. |

Packman tends to be installed in Apps→Admin. To download again, you can find a link to it here, wiki |

If PackMan updated itself, you may find that the !PackMan application has moved from $.Apps to $.Apps.Admin (or vice versa). This will mess up any shortcuts you may have on the Pinboard etc. Note that !Packages should still be present in !Boot.Resources. |

Ah, thanks for the tips! There’s no $.Apps.Admin on my system, and !PackMan is not on $.Apps either. If I install it again, will it keep track of the programs I installed with it? |

Another thing that can go wrong on the Pi 4 is if you’ve moved !Boot to an external USB drive and are now booting up with two USB drives attached: if this is the case, it’s pot luck which of these will be assigned to drive 4. Of course, both drives will need to have a copy of !Boot installed, or the non-presence of PackMan may be the least of your worries.
Those details are stored in !Packages, which as mentioned above can be found in !Boot.Resources. |
