Is there any software available which would allow me to lay out text in a circle? |

Yes, try !FontFX – my copy is marked © Data Store 1990-1992 but I can’t remember from where I obtained it so long ago, probably ADPL. A quick google search shows that it is available from here Alternatively use MakeDraw which can show text at any angle, but you would have to do the calculations yourself. |

Yes, try !TextFffX it’s freeware. technically !FontFX is commercial, and not sure you can get it from anywhere now. |

I think it was made freeware in 2006, and available from a4com … now dead. |

Do you mean to align text around a circle, or to lay out text in a circular frame? For aligning text !TextEffX is a nice tool indeed (or !ArtWorks if you have it), for the latter you will definitively need !OvationPro. |

It’s unclear what “it” refers to here, but for completeness, TextEffx is freeware and was formerly Cerilica Insignia. FontFX was a different application in its own right. |

Thanks for all who have suggested this. It did the job sufficiently well in the very limited time I had. I needed to layout text in a circle, instead of the usual straight line. It worked well for Trimity.Medium. However when I selected any other font, the letters overlapped, and I couldn’t see a way to alter the spacing (kerning?). Ideally I wanted a sans-serif font, with loose spacing. (Actually it might have worked with spaces between every pair of letters…) |
