ResEd: copying resources

I copied a window from one app’s Resource file to that of another app. Although the original worked, the copy (in the second app) didn’t. I deleted the window and re-created it manually to something that I believe to be identical; this worked. (No change to code, only the resource.)

The call to toolbox_create_object() left the object ID zero in the non-working one, but set a value in the working one.

Has anyone else tried this? Does it work for you? Have I missed something obvious?

Would ccres show a difference between the two?
