Quitting the Desktop closes open files?

Can anyone confirm if quitting the desktop closes all open files? It might actually be worse than just open files as my FAT32FS drives also disappear when I quit the desktop! |

Thanks Rick, I figured it was something like that, I just didn’t know where to look in the OS source. I guess I should raise a Wish: Shutdown dialogue needs three options: The last of which doesn’t issue *Shutdown. That actually gives me an idea, I can alias *Shutdown to something that kills Clipboard Manager (so the Desktop does actually quit properly) and also stop it killing 3rd party filesystems. |

Perhaps extending this to have a no-shutdown-files option? https://www.riscosopen.org/wiki/documentation/show/TaskManager_Shutdown |
