How to do !OmniClient auto mounts?

The !Omni .!Run explain

| Run with “Run !Omni mount1 mount2 mount3” or with “Run !Omni -all”
WimpSlot -min 36K -max 36K
Desktop_OmniClient %*0

But there is no Run here. So I decided to add an obey with:

Filer_Run !Omni
Filer_Run !Omni.Files.AutoMount

The obey file AutoMount is simply: OmniMount -all
As explained in the CLI help:

*Help OmniMount
==> Help on keyword OmniMount
*OmniMount can list all active mounts, or mount named mount point(s) that exist in the Mounts file.
Syntax: *OmniMount [-all | mounts]
*

But this runs mostly in an endless hourglass loop. Filer_Runs are never reliable in step by step execution. But what is the right way?

The “idea” comes from the PC Keyboard from Steve Fryatt.

One Filer_Run !Omni starts !Omni
In the Run file the old run description can be deleted.
Instead add the following line:
StartDesktopTask Obey <Omni$Dir>.Files.AutoMount

AutoMount is an obey file with:
| OmniMount mount named mount point(s) that exist in the Mounts file.
| Syntax: *OmniMount [-all | mounts]
OmniMount -all

That’s it! But why so “complicated”? After this I tried to add the -all directly and it works too.

Solved better!

Filer_Run !Omni starts !Omni
In the Run file the old run description can be deleted.
Write the mounts in the last command instead of %*0
Desktop_OmniClient -all

Note:
Oh yes, since it is %*0 then it is even easier?
Filer_Run !Omni -all
No.
1. Because Filer_Run does not accept parameters/arguments.
2. Autostarts of !Omni itself e.g. “Run at startup” list in Configuration does not support parameters/arguments.
