State of play with !Draw

I confess I do not use RISC OS much these days, but when my insurance company wanted a plan of my house I immediately opened up !Draw (1.41) on RO5.28 (on an Rpi4) because I recalled that !Draw was easier to use than anything else on other OSes. But twice, when I tried to save my drawing, it crashed out with some message about a SpriteExtend module, to my great disappointment. I could not make head nor tail of Libre Office Draw in Raspberry Pi OS. So is my version of !Draw too old, too new, or is it a problem with some inappropriate module? Can anybody give advice? |

If you’re getting the error “SpriteExtend: Sprite doesn’t exist” that may mean that the “ptr_drop” sprite is missing from your chosen theme. This is only a problem with custom themes, so if you’re using the “Raspberry” theme you should be OK. |

Seriously, a missing mouse pointer sprite should not be causing a crash. |

Many thanks. That was the problem. I copied the ptr_drop icon from the Raspberry Pi theme (Sprites/Sprites11/Sprites22) to my custom theme, and everything worked. The error message SpriteExtend: Sprite doesn’t exist could be so much more helpful if it went the extra inch and expressed what was missing. |
