Copying C source code to a RISC OS structure

Hello,
I have a C project I’d like to build on RISC OS. The C project has the usual structure for UNIX or Windows, i.e. folders with “.c” and “.h” files in them. For RISC OS, I need to convert this to be folder with “c” and “h” folders within, and the “.c” and “.h” files copied to the appropriate folders with the file extension removed.

Is there is a tool I can download to do this? Or should I write something in Python or Lua or something?

I have been using, since 2003, a Lua application !SwitchExt for this. You put a copy inside a directory then doubleclick it. You can choose what counts as an extension.
