Can I post a modified ROM image online?

I’d like to post a modified ROM image, with Kernel_gpa and the build log file on github so that other people can try out SimpleAsPi; is that legal, or are there some hoops I have to jump through? I’m not ready to do it yet, but hoping to fairly soon. |

I think the Apache licence allows you to do that. |

That was my understanding, too, but I thought something in the image might be under another licence or something. Thanks. |

Sharing your modified ROM on GitHub sounds cool. Legal stuff can be tricky, though. Check out the licensing terms of the original ROM and Kernel_gpa to be on the safe side. Also, be clear in your README about what’s going on. I’ve seen folks get into hot water for not being upfront. |

Yes you can, so long as the extra stuff you want to include (the GPA etc) is not GPL or closed. |
