command line *set

I use python in a task window to look up the builtin documentation like so:
Ctrl-f12 for taskwindow,
key python3 at the *prompt,
to enter the python shell with >>> prompt

*python3
Python 3.8.12+ (riscos-1, Sep  8 2021, 10:35:02) 
[GCC 4.7.4] on riscos
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" .... more information.
>>>

>>> help()
Welcome to Python 3.8's help utility
......
etc
help> 

To avoid a lot of typing I would like to set a system variable to go straight to “help>” prompt
Keying the following command directly at the terminal works:

*python3 -c help()

*set ph 'python3 -c help()'

*ph

!Python3.Bin.python38: can't open file 'help()': No such file or directory

You are just setting a variable, rather than an alias, which is defined as Alias$something.

This works for me, using the handy alias alias.

alias ph python3 -c help()
