Your CLib is too old and doesn’t support the 32 bit extensions (4.39 is nearly twenty years old). Try the System Resources here to install something more up to date:

And do read the ReadMe file therein regarding SysMerge |

Now there’s a phrase we haven’t seen since, er, this morning. |

I am glad about that … but very puzzled, as Organizer does not use C (or CLib) at all! It is written in BASIC. |

That means? What is wrong here? Micky |

What? Martin’s question, or Rick’s “Your CLib is too old and doesn’t support the 32 bit extensions”? Martin is saying that Organizer is written in BASIC, so it shouldn’t be directly using the Shared C Library, 32-bit or otherwise. Clearly something else, which is getting run as a result of starting Organizer, is using the SCL — the question is, what it might be. Given that you’ve fixed the problem by installing the 32-bit library, which shouldn’t have any side-effects, the question may be not be that important any more (although Martin might like to know, in case he ever gets any similar support queries). Using Reporter (also from Martin) might reveal what is getting started as Organizer launches itself, if you wanted to take the problem further. |
