Titanium Screen Resolution

Hi, I finished building my Titanium machine some time ago but got a new 4K monitor. Is there any way to adjust the screen resolution? It’s defaulting to 1920×1080 currently. Thanks. |

The Titanium is limited to 2048×2048 on each of it’s output’s, so you are going to be out of luck. A Pi 4B will do 4K. |

Thanks for the information. |

Hi Chris, 4K is possible with the Titanium, R-Comp may be able to help you with special software but your will need a monitor with dual HDMI inputs and capable of picture side by side. Andrew Rawnsley will be able to provide more information. |

There’s a free driver here on the Elesar website, and there’s a thread somewhere on here about how to do it. I had to buy an ‘active’ DVI to Display Port cable (about £45) to connect to my monitor. Remember though, you’ll only get 4096 × 2048 maximum which is not quite 4K. |

I’ll check it out thanks. I’m using a 42” TV for my screen. I’ll see what kind of results I get. |

Um, that’s a novel solution. Some extra wide monitors have two (normally DVI) inputs which would allow this to work, but very few 4K ones will do side by side, the only one I know of is a Samsung. Most TVs will only do PIP/PBP with a HDMI input and the digital tuner. It will also depend whether they do full height on both pictures, or squash them to get closer to the normal aspect ratio. |
