(Instant) Webkiosk / welcome screen on RPI

I hope I am writing to the right address with my issue.

I download the image of the RiscOS for the RaspberryPI, put it on an SD – and the Raspberry Pi start easily and very very quickly!!
I am very surprised about this quick starting of the system – I like this!!

I had a look on serveral setting and things on the OS.

But there are some things I was not able to handle by myself.
So I want to ask you if there is somebody who can help me a little bit to realize the things I want to do.

-Getting a picture on 1920×1080 without a black frame
-I have a webpage on my Network/NAS showing a welcome screen (also with a small movie on it with names and informations to display which will change day by day from my Laptop)
-Start the browser with this webpage in full screen mode automaticly at startup.

Is there somebody who can help me with this?

How to make the configuration additional Apps etc. etc.
Or somebody still made an image doing this?

At first you should read the quick guide in the welcome/html if you not a RISC OS user ;-)

Put disable_overscan=1 in config.txt.
(Search in the forum (right on top of this page) for more information)

1. Start Netsurf, click middle mouse button on netsurf icon on the iconbar —> Choices —> Home Page —> set your URL and Open browser …
2. Click the SDFS Icon to open the filer window —> double click Apps and you see the Netsurf icon
3. Double click !Boot —> click Boot —> Run —> Drag and Drop the Netsurf Icon to the “Run at startup” window —> Set —> Set

At next Start Netsurf is automaticly open with your webpage but not in full screen. I’m not sure. I mean netsurf displayed the original size of a page.

Got a PC?

Start a browser (this works on IE and Firefox, ought to work on Opera too) and press F11. This will get rid of the window furniture, the task bar, etc and have the web page fill the screen – you might have seen kiosks at railway stations and such in the days prior to 3G and everybody on ADSL?

Failing this – is there a RISC OS (or Pi) build of NetSurf that runs in simple framebuffer mode?

for sure I have a PC – but this is no real alternate to RiscOS on a PI :-)
even not so small, ans not so quick…..
