Time Issue

So I fitted my RTC and it seems like it’s holding the time after shutdown. NetTime runs and sets the clock but it’s always ahead 8 hours. Could this be a territory issue? I have it set for PST in Time and Date and syncing the clock again will set the time correctly. |

I think I found something. It’s in the territory module. I think I need to do a *Configure TimeZone -08:00 does this look right? |

*status now shows it’s set. Must have been unset when the clock was set to manual. ¯\(ツ)/¯ |

Always remember that NTP is UTC1 and there is a system adjustment for timezone. 1 UTC is extremely close to, but precisely, GMT. Mostly because the world isn’t as accurately regular as our measuring system. |

I have set the offset in Time and Date to -8 but is there anything else that could cause it to set to UTC initially? When I go back to Time and Date after the machine is fully booted and sync the clock again it’s set correctly. |
