Mostly because of bloatware…

Okay, hi-res video if you’re into that by the hour. I’m not. Text, diagrams, still photos & short video clips for me – I find long video (or TV) utterly mind-numbing and annoying.

16Mb to 8Gb RAM!

Once upon a time, a program to scrape a website and show you the weather with pretty little icons 🌞☁️🌧️ would have been maybe 150K. These days, for Android, you won’t see much change out of 150MB.

I don’t play any of the games that Netflix offers, because I look at something that might interest me and it’s maybe 2 or 3 GB. Hell with that…

With the exception of a few recordings of gigs done by various groups years ago, I can say that I don’t really recall that clearly.
That’s probably because it wasn’t that interesting and I didn’t bother to retain the memory, with an extra large dollop of can’t be arsed switching it on for trivia.

¹ “Very small” turned out to be 25Mb. All the damned thing is doing is relaying stats to a central collector.

I wouldn’t have a TV at all if I didn’t live with a TV addict. I didn’t have one when I lived alone. I grin and bear the gibbering electronic idiot in the corner most of the time; sometimes I just have to go and shut myself away somewhere else.

And here I am, at the other end of the scale, having a dedicated room with a 2.2 metre “ultrawide” (2.39:1) projection screen, although admittedly I don’t use it as often as I used to!

Oh, I’ve got a 43" 4K TV on my desk in one of the places I shut myself away.

But the only thing it’s ever been used as is a monitor for my Pi and my (M1) Mac Mini.

I might as well start wittering in here about the Mac SE 30 I got from my brother today since nobody seems to observe thread topics. /Rolls eyes

Could the site that has Omega bits and pieces – add a list of *rom / modules complete with version numbers.

Also by using the likes of !Verma to get copies of disc control modules – and any other Omega only modules?
