Deleting A PC File From RISC OS

I have a PC (Windows 10) and a RISC OS FAST (RISC OS 5.29 (19-Apr-23)). There are two directories on the PC which I can access from the RISC OS machine using LanMan98 (2.08 (16 Feb 2021)). I can open up the files in these directories from the RISC OS machine and can drag copies across to the RISC OS machine. However, I cannot delete a file in the PC shared directories and when I try to do so I get a message “Access Denied”. Can anyone kindly suggest what I need to change in order to delete a file from the RISC OS machine? |

not 100% sure but I have had a similar issue myself lately and for some reason (not sure why) the folders are write only when viewed from RISC OS using Lanman98. Hope this helps |

Can you copy a file from RISC OS to PC? |

On the PC, open ‘Properties’ for the folder you wish to write to/delete from. Go to Sharing-Advanced Sharing, click on Permissions and check if all three boxes (Full Control, Change, Read) are ticked for the person you have set access for. If not, tick them all and hit OK. As a double-check, right-click the PC folder again, select Give Access To (about halfway down), check that your designated individual has ‘Read/Write’ next to it. If so, you should have no problem accessing the PC folder from your RISC OS machine via LM98 and doing any read/write/delete operation. |

Following the method suggested by George Greenfield, the problem has been cured. Well done and thank you to George and all others who contributed. |
