Which wifi dongle?

I got a computer, which runs RO on Omap3.
But it contains an old and obsolete Wifi chip.
Now my question, is there a Wifi dongle which contains one of the supported chips?

As far as I am aware, neither of the current wifi implementations have delivered a dongle-based solution yet.

The operative word in that sentence is probably “yet”.

But afaik the wifi on the Raspberryy is using the USB-host?

Is there no compatible hardware around?
I got an Omap3 without Wifi.
Therefore i had the hope to connect something the same way as on the raspberry?

Unless someone knows otherwise, all the Pi platforms use SDIO for wifi, not USB.

Until the Pi 4, it was only ethernet that was USB.
