Purpose of USB$Ignore_ sysvars

Looking back at some old USB apps of mine, I see that I have set USB$Ignore_VID_PID variables. For the life of me I can’t remember anything of why I did it (the apps are all 12 or more years old). What is the purpose of these system variables? |

There is such a variable in there USBDriver mode source.
I don’t know either. |

I think it’s exactly what it looks like – if the VID/PID match, then ignore the device. |

Yeah, the OS can ignore it because an app (the one that set the variable) knows how to handle it. Finally it makes sense. I can’t help feeling that there ought to be a mention of it somewhere in the Wiki. If there is already, a simple search failed to find it. Eta: and thanks for the pointers! |
