Develo?

‘Recent changes’ mentions Develo modem. What’s that about? I use Develo powerline Wi-Fi extenders. Relevant? I’m guessing only if one connects via the ethernet socket? |

The 1100 duo perhaps? It’s an ancient ADSL router that’s so old it doesn’t even have WiFi. But clients could connect to it using USB instead of Ethernet. |

So… who here is still using something that ancient? ;) |

I reported the device to ROOL with the remark that it is only for completeness and it would be ok when they add it in RISC OS 5.40. ROOL answered that they added it to avoid that it is forgotten as it was only one line … I am not using my ADSL 1100 duo any longer. It was a fine device but years ago a chance of my ADSL connection by my provider stopped it working. However I am just testing my CM4 under 5.30 with various devices/programs etc. to bring my RISC OS installation uptodate and thought it would be interesting to know whether EtherUSB CDC ECM would work with it. |

Ah, curiosity satisfied. Hadn’t known of a Develo modem. I do now. |
