Is there an alocation for dci4 driver names?

I am working on a network device driver, at the moment its called “ei0” for Econet IP encapsulation, but I can’t find an official allocation of such names. In theory I might use ec0 but since I am presently only replacing the earlier DCI2 EconetA module a DCI4 EconetA module might be loaded and taking that name, so I am choosing not to do that. If ei0 is used by existing hardware than I will need to think again. What might be the best strategy here? |

I believe the correct strategy is to contact the allocations service, which manages these. |

Ah, yes, semi-descriptive for the Econet IP Encapsulation Interface. |
