!YTPlay sound problem

!YTPlay V3.22b plays Youtube videos perfectly on my Pi4B under RO 5.31 (07-Nov-24) but without sound. A week ago it worked perfectly. Sound is still working normally for other apps (e.g. !DigitalCD) and System sounds.

Any suggestions what might have gone wrong in the case of !YTPlay and how to fix it would be welcome.

I have take a short look.
For the URL I use, Youtube offer “video only” and “audio only” streams.
The m3u playlist created by YTPlay has a videourl and an audiourl for the stream inside. Video at first will be played.
Maybe it is possible to mix both.
Download is also no longer working.

The only way I found in RISC OS is to add audio in background via ffmpeg before the video can be played. Is a slow but working solution.
Playing both streams “on the fly” fails becaus the needed commandline is to long.
I will sort any things and try to upload a new RunImage tomorrow morning.

Is there a way to pipe the ffmpeg output directly to ffplay / mplayer?
In Win something like
Ffmpeg -i video.m3u8 -i audio.m3u8 -c:v copy -c:a copy -f avi – | ffplay -
works.

A fix you can find here but is slow.
I not have try all options and will work on it next week.
I not find a better solution at this time.
Mplayer can handle separate streams but -audiofile works not with -playlist.
With the complete URLs the commandline is to long.

With the default player as ffplay then this works OK here.

With the default player set as mplayer then after getting the second stream, as seen in the task window, a like comes up in the task wind saying “Mistake”

At least we have a YouTube player still, thanks to all your efforts which are appreciated, and I’ll look out for any further updates.
