Is it a bug?

Doesn’t happen for me (also RO 5.19, 19-Mar-13) with !Edit (1.68, 25-Sep-12). Of course we probably don’t have the same !Edit settings. I generally use StrongED (4.69b6, 29-Jul-13) as editor and taskwindow server, anyway. It looks as if (in problem 2) the output n RMTidy ROMModules Set SetEv is being skipped. |

Edit suffers from various redraw issues. It will only display up to 196 characters on a line. Oddly enough if you select the line by double-clicking then it does display the entire line. Deselect the line and things look um.. interesting. This issue also affects the TaskWindow display, everything between character 196 and the right edge of the window is not displayed. You can get all of the text displayed by reducing the window width to less than 197 characters. Personally I would recommend using either Zap or StrongED. They are so much more powerful, and without the annoying redraw quirks. You may want to add the LineEditor module too as it makes using the command line a lot more comfortable. |

I can only assume this redraw bug got overlooked in the days when displays were never as wide as 196 characters. I am not so sure why it hasn’t been fixed now that the sources are available… |

Maybe it wasn’t logged. It’s now in ticket #350, which I don’t think is a duplicate. Noting it and logging it doesn’t equate to fixing it, of course… I need to learn to program one day (but I don’t think Edit would be a wise place to start). |

You just need StrongED to be running. |
