RISC OS 5.20 !Boot on Raspberry Pi

I put the current 5.20 disc image’s !Boot on a Raspberry Pi this evening – both the SD card and the hard drive (I wasn’t sure which it was booting from). It’s all running again, but every window’s furniture is garish rainbow stripes. The screen settings include 16 million colours and 1280 * 1024 resolution. All windows have the identical stripes – it’s consistent. Just not pretty. I haven’t changed any more than !Boot yet. Is this a known phenomenon? Is the cause known? |

Yes and yes. I had it a while back. I think it is due to the new themes and should correct itself when you update the ROM to 5.20 or 5.21. |

Have a look at :-
Displays OK with 5.21 (somehow!). Something to do with the use of the Steel theme? It is the same in both the OS5.20 and OS5.21beta !Boots but the OS5.20 !Boot does not have the Themes configuration tool. |

Thanks all. I did wonder whether it was a theme, and looked for a configuration plug-in, but, as you say, there isn’t one. All being well I can fix this tonight. |

I finally had the chance to run RISC OS Pi from a preinstalled card being sold by ROOL at the London show. I got this issue after using PkgManager to upgrade the distro. Where do I head now, to get the latest fixes? As I am away from my Pi, I cannot confirm the version of RISC OS that was installed, 5.20 or 5.21. Would be nice to have a webpage tied to the version you have installed, so you know what to do, and where to go, to address any issues that are prevalent. Right now, I am not certain what to do. Thanks in advance! Steve |
