Don’t have a copy of Windows 8.x to look at. I saw it in a shop display and thought “oh my God”. I hope by the time I need to upgrade, we’re on Windows X and it looks like it ought to, because I’d lump 8 (8.1?) right in there with Unity in a big case of “WTF have you done, dude?”.
Yup, prolly. I’m used to people looking at links and thinking “too much effort”. Besides, I wasn’t doing anything interesting. Kyoukai no Kanata is tomorrow… ;-) |

“Some devices support exFAT. The majority, I suspect, would just stick to regular FAT32. Certainly, I’ve never seen anything formatted exFAT…” In my experience, (I only have used Windows at the local Library a few times), on Linux, FAT32 has a file size limitation of 4GB. A DVD iso can be more than this, so while using someone else’s Windows machine, the option is to format to either exFAT or NTFS. Linux supports both, though I have noticed that after deleting files from the exFat USB stick in Linux that when I return to the Windows machines in the Library, they appear as being full, so I simply do a quick reformat to exFAT again. NTFS support is a bit older and may be more reliable. |

Saw it on tablet (pre-release). The MS server boys had a desktop copy for review and even their reaction was WTF… Off-topic – ceasing. |
