Expansion Options

I’m quickly filling up my 2GB SD card. What options do I have for storage space? I’m thinking of getting a beagle board in the near future also. Right now it’s just my RasPi and a USB hub. |

A USB thumb drive works for me, I got an 8GB SanDisk Cruzer, popped it into the Raspberry Pi, formatted it with HForm, works great. How much storage are you looking to add? If it’s hundreds of GBs, then maybe a USB stick is not right for you. |

Not sure if it’s feasable but around 50GB. I’m really enjoying RiscOS, I am using it everyday now. |

I’d just get a 64GB USB thumb drive then, nice and quiet compared to an actual hard disk. |

!Sunfish works pretty well for me, connecting to my iMac via NFS. Don’t forget Ben Avison’s !SystemDisc can expand the RISC OS partition on your SD card (http://piccolosystems.com/disctools/systemdisc) though I confess I can’t make out how exactly one uses from the description on that page. |

I just so happened to have a spare 64gb USB stick. It formatted with !HForm no problem. My data is on a 32gb USB stick, formated fat32. It hangs after a few MB of data transfer. I will try to transfer the data another way. Looks promising though. |
