WimpLog Causes Shutdown Freeze

WimpLog, V1.02 causes Shutdown (CTRL-Shift-F12) freeze.

The associated !SysLog, V0.20 appears to run without error. Thoughts?

What happens if you turn alignment exceptions off and then run the same sequence?

Good point. Unfortunately the freeze still occurs.

Possibly related to the way it uses WimpSWIve, of which item it’s original author said

It is, however, possible to trap Wimp_ SWIs by providing another module
with the same SWI chunk and names. This method is much quicker and easier,
but it is – as I‘ll happily admit – rather dodgy.

The thought does occur, that perhaps not using a hack work around to the Wimp_ReportError not logging anything for posterity would be a good idea.
When it was written OS source was closed and altering Window Manager to log its errors wasn’t an easy task so a work around was done. Now with the source available perhaps that change should be made.

It is a shame Service_WimpReportError didn’t also include a pointer to the error block.
