Pi GPU mailbox delays

What’s the current state of play with delays in the GPU mailbox messages? Have they all been resolved, or are there still situations where requests to set the DAG, palette etc are delayed by a frame.

Note that I haven’t updated my firmware in a while, so it’s possible the latest firmware exhibits different behaviour.

I believe they:

1. Added a callback for VSync (although I can’t find the commit, so it may have been a kernel change)
2. Have swapped red/blue around by default in 24 and 32 bit modes (which may catch a few people out, fix here )
3. Now accept invalid EDID
