Nut PI Messenger message save not working

Using Nut PI Messenger 5.3.142, I can’t save a message to file using F3 as the drag icon and save button are disabled. Thanks, Michael. |

Tech support on R-Comp apps should really be done via our normal email address. It was only a fluke that I saw this here. As far as I know, that’s not an intentional cut – the main Messenger app should be complete as per the last release of Messenger Pro 5. The (separate) IMAP etc. components are removed, but I don’t recall (could be wrong) disabling other functionality. You should be able to save via menus or via the save button on the toolbar. Saving was an area that was improved in later versions of Mpro, but that was more to do with improving drag/drop saves, multi-message export, and compatibility with PC email clients. I will, however, say that if you make regular use of Messenger Pi you’d be well advised to grab v7 (extra functionality and updates/fixes), esp as it is usually discounted during !Store sales. |

Hi, Thanks for replying. For some reason I thought Nut Pi apps where one offs and no support was given. I have checked again and saving via the menu, F3 or save button all lead to the same save dialog with the drag icon and save button disabled. This is a shame since I would use message saving a lot. |

A workaround would be to use the copy-paste features to copy into any cut’n’paste aware program (eg. StrongEd, Zap, Easi/TechWriter and so on). If you “show headers” first, you’ll have the whole message. We will always do our best to support our software when legitimately purchased (eg. NutPi) but can’t always offer new versions if later editions already exist (as in this case). If you’d like to take it up via email, I’ll gladly test against copy here, and we can sort out what’s going on. |
