Usb-Sata adaptorand harddrive

Hiya, I’m building a little pi project. Nothing fancy, just all the bits (Pi / PSU etc) in a tidy little case. I want to know if I can add a hard drive to the pi. I have a 250G spare one with a USB adaptor that works fine with my laptop. I imagine that it would need to go through a powered USB hub. Are there any special considerations for doing this with RISC OS? Thanks. |

I’ve had a similar system up and running for a long time. It just works. I don’t think there is anything special to do. |

Thanks for your reply Dave. After reading it, I just plugged it in and gave it a go. After formatting it worked fine. Brilliant. |

I’m also using a 64 GB SSD via a USB-SATA adaptor (from eBay) with my BBxM. It, too, just worked. |
